Fanfare Plays On
Local MPs have enthusiastically welcomed the announcement that the Fanfare and MOST school music programs will continue after corporate sponsorship was confirmed today.
Mr Seath Holswich thanked new sponsor AEG Ogden on behalf of Pine Rivers music students.
"Today's announcement of a public, private partnership for those programs is a great win for musicians at Pine Rivers schools."
Mr Trevor Ruthenberg echoed Mr Holswich's sentiments.
"I'm a great believer in instilling a passion for music in our youth, and continuing involvement in these programs in coming years will no doubt stoke that passion in many Kallangur music students."
AEG Ogden offered $75,000 cash sponsorship annually to host MOST in 2013 and Fanfare in 2014 with the full sponsorship over the two years totalling $150,000 as well hosting the events at AEG Ogden managed venues.
They manage venues throughout the Asia Pacific region, including the Brisbane and Cairns Convention Centres, Suncorp Stadium and the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.
AEG Ogden Founding Directors, Harvey Lister and Rod Pilbeam, have been involved in the entertainment business in Brisbane for nearly 40 years.
