Feedback Sought on Draft Tourism Action Plan
Pine Rivers MP, Mr Seath Holswich, today launched a Draft Action Plan designed to stimulate discussion about the future of tourism in the Moreton Bay Hinterland region.
The Draft Action Plan is the second stage of a process started by Mr Holswich and other local MPs, following on from last month's Tourism Public Forum in Dayboro.
"The ideas contained in the Draft Action Plan come straight from the Forum and our local community - tourism operators, residents, business owners, community leaders," Mr Holswich said.
"The Plan captures a wide range of ideas and challenges that need to be thoroughly investigated in order to grow the local tourism industry."
"The ideas are diverse and include issues such as the need for better road infrastructure, ideas for bike and horse trails, ways to market our region and ways to better utilize the Lakes."
Mr Holswich is now calling for expressions of interest for a Working Group that will be formed to assess each of the ideas in the Draft Action Plan.
Expressions of interest should be lodged with the Pine Rivers Electorate Office by Friday 31st August 2012.
