Invitation to Pine Rivers Community Water Forum

16/06/2014

Pine Rivers residents and business owners will be given the opportunity to raise any concerns at a Water Forum to be held in the Strathpine Community Centre on Tuesday 24 June, 2014 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.

The Forum will be hosted by Member for Pine Rivers, Seath Holswich MP, who said the event will address issues related to water pricing and water industry reform.  The forum will be attended by the Minister for Energy and Water Supply, The Hon Mark McArdle MP, who will address the forum and be available to answer questions from the community.

“The Queensland Government values the input of the Pine Rivers community regarding water industry reform and water costs, so it’s extremely important to consult with the community and have this type of open discussion,” Mr Holswich said.

“This is a chance for residents and business owners from Pine Rivers to ask questions and raise their concerns. Community consultation is an important and effective way to present accurate and relevant information and for the Government to hear the concerns of Queenslanders,” Minister McArdle added.

Bookings are essential and will be restricted to residents or business owners within the Pine Rivers electorate.  You can register online at www.trybooking.com/FEKL or email pine.rivers@parliament.qld.gov.au.  Alternatively you can phone 3205 6779.
