Member for Pine Rivers, Mr Seath Holswich, said applications are now open for the awards which recognise individuals and organisations who have contributed to greater understanding and acceptance of our state’s wonderful cultural diversity.
“The Awards are a great opportunity to recognise contributions and achievements of individuals and organisations which support strong diverse communities across Queensland,” Mr Holswich said.
“There are thirteen award categories this year which will recognise the broad variety of work and achievements that are indicative of our state’s cultural diversity.”
Nominations are invited in the categories of:

Member for Kallangur, Mr Trevor Ruthenberg, said the Awards honour the commitment and effort from the many people who daily help make Queensland the diverse and dynamic place it is to live, work and raise a family.
“We want to recognise people who understand that cultural diversity enriches our lives in all areas, and communicate this positive message as role models in our multicultural society,” Mr Ruthenberg said.
Nominations close on Monday, 16th June. Winners will be announced during Queensland Cultural Diversity Week being celebrated statewide from 30th August – 7th September.
