Local MPs, Seath Holswich (Member for Pine Rivers) and Trevor Ruthenberg (Member for Kallangur), visited the Vineyard Mercy Centre at Lawnton to donate food supplies to help the community group assist those in need.
Mr Ruthenberg praised the not-for-profit organisation: “The Vineyard Mercy Centre continues to provide a fantastic service for those in the community who need basic assistance.”
Mr Holswich commented that: “it would be fantastic to see the community supporting the Vineyard Mercy Centre. Support can be as big as schools, churches or other groups organising a food drive.”
“While the large contributions are important, smaller contributions for example: buying one extra item in your grocery shopping to donate to the Vineyard, also greatly help this terrific organization,” he added.
The Vineyard Mercy Centre has been assisting people for 14 years and operates through volunteer service.
