Funding Boost for Local Community Groups

Local State MPs have welcomed an allocation of $58,114.84 for three Pine Rivers and Kallangur community groups under the latest State Government gambling grant funding rounds.

Millions of dollars have again been provided to many organisations across Queensland through the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.

Mr Seath Holswich said organisations within the Pine Rivers and Kallangur electorates to receive funding in this round were:

Dayboro Trail Riders Club - Upgrade communications - $3,588.02
Murrumba Secondary College P&C Install shade sails & synthetic turf - $30,626.82
Pine Rivers Junior Rugby League - Purchase PA system - $23,900.00

"Community organisations in Pine Rivers and Kallangur electorates are struggling to meet the ongoing demand for their services so it is wonderful that the State Government, through these grants, can provide a helping hand," Mr Holswich said.

"Our government is pleased to support the wonderful work being done by community organisations and recognises the significant and vital contribution they make to our community," Mr Trevor Ruthenberg added.

"These grants are designed for approved not-for-profit organisations and are not intended to replace existing sources of support for these organisations."
