Holswich Committed to Building a Better Pine Rivers

State Member for Pine Rivers, Mr Seath Holswich MP, has used the mid-term point of this State Parliament to reaffirm his commitment to building a better Pine Rivers.

"It is a great honour to represent the Pine Rivers community, and it is also a great responsibility."

"My goal from the start has been to work in partnership with our community so that we can build a better Pine Rivers, and I think we have made a good start."

Mr Holswich cites some of the major local achievements of the past 18 months as:
• Completion of the AJ Wyllie Bridge Reconstruction Project
• $1.22 million in additional maintenance funds for local state schools
• $118,340 for flood-proofing projects in Dayboro & Laceys Creek
• Completion of the $4.5 million Pine Rivers Neighbourhood Centre
• $8.3 million upgrade to North Pine Water Treatment Plant
• $168 million for additional railway line between Petrie and Lawnton
• Inaugural Pine Rivers Lego Expo supporting local community groups and tourism industry
• Launch of Pine Rivers Hoonwatch Program
• Launch of budgetassistpinerivers.com.au to assist households with cost of living pressures
• Running a successful "100% Local Christmas Challenge" buy local campaign in 2012

"Whilst we have achieved a lot in this past 18 months, there is still a big job ahead and many issues that need to be tackled."
