PRINCIPALS DISCUSS LOCAL EDUCATION PRIORITIES WITH MINISTER
Pine Rivers School Principals today met with the Minister for Education, Training and Employment, The Hon John-Paul Langbroek, to discuss local education priorities.
The roundtable discussion, attended by nine local Principals, was organised by State Member for Pine Rivers, Mr Seath Holswich, and hosted by Pine Rivers State High School.
"This roundtable was an opportunity for our local Principals to sit down with the Minister, face to face, and discuss any issue they wanted to raise," Mr Holswich said.
"The willingness of Minister Langbroek to spend time talking collectively with Pine Rivers Principals is evidence of the Newman Government's commitment to working closely with our schools to get positive education outcomes for Pine Rivers students."
Some of the issues raised by Principals during the 90 minute meeting included school maintenance backlogs, staffing allocations, the Great Teachers = Great Results education policy and Gonski reforms.
"We have fantastic schools in Pine Rivers, whose students are achieving great outcomes thanks to our dedicated teaching and support staff."
"Education is a key component of building a better Pine Rivers and I will continue to work closely with all our schools to ensure that we are providing a high quality education experience for Pine Rivers students."
