10 New Police on The Beat

State Member for Pine Rivers Seath Holswich and Member for Kallangur Trevor Ruthenberg were today pleased to announce the allocation of 10 new police recruits to the local region.

"These officers are a welcome addition to the community and will act as a visible deterrent to potential offenders, and reassure local residents." Mr Holswich said.

"In 2012-2013 the Government committed to an additional 300 officers to be recruited, trained, and on beats and streets right across Queensland,"

"That commitment is part of the LNP's wider recruitment of 1,100 additional officers over our four years in office; the Liberal National Party proudly supports visible policing and strong law and order in Queensland."

Mr Ruthenberg congratulated the newly graduated officers and wished the officers well for their future careers.

"Congratulations to all of the graduates and I wish them well in their careers with the QPS." he said.
