Boost For Pine Rivers and Kallangur Community Groups

Member for Pine Rivers, Seath Holswich MP and Member for Kallangur, Trevor Ruthenberg MP have welcomed the allocation of $166,082.38 for 6 local community groups from State Government funding. La variedad de salas: precios y estilos

Millions of dollars have been provided across Queensland through the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.

Mr Holswich said organisations within the Pine Rivers electorate to receive funding in this round were:

• Albany Creek Excelsior Netball Club, $14,571.70, to install court seating
• Dayboro Agricultural Horticultural and Industrial Association, $30,550, to renovate a community use building
• Lawnton State School, $31,818.18, to upgrade community hall facilities
• Moreton Bay Symphony Orchestra, $22,930.50, to purchase musical equipment
• Pine Rivers Musical Association, $35,000, to purchase audio visual equipment

In the Kallangur electorate Mr Ruthenberg said he was pleased to announce funding for:

• Pine Rivers Junior League Club, $31,212, to upgrade facilities

"Organisations such as these contribute so greatly to the wider community and it is fantastic to be able to support them financially," Mr Ruthenberg said.

"These grants will provide much needed funds for community groups and ensure these organisations are able to deliver ongoing facilities and activities which benefit our local area and local residents".

Mr Holswich said "The Newman Government recognises and supports the valuable work being done by community organisations and the vital contribution they make to Queensland.

"These grants are designed for approved not-for-profit organisations and are not intended to replace existing sources of support for these organisations."
