Tourism Minister To Visit Dayboro

Member for Pine Rivers, Mr Seath Holswich, has announced today that the Minister for Tourism, Major Events, Small Business and Commonwealth Games will be visiting Dayboro and Ocean View on 7th May.

“I am excited that Minister Stuckey will be spending half a day in Dayboro and Ocean View to get an on-the-ground view of the potential of the Dayboro region,” Mr Holswich said.

“Tourism is one of the four key pillars of the Queensland economy and Dayboro is well positioned to benefit from the Newman Government’s strong focus on tourism.”

Mr Holswich will be accompanying Minister Stuckey as she visits several local businesses and meets with business owners.

“This is a great opportunity to explore the challenges and opportunities for local businesses directly with the Minister.”

“I have been working with local tourism and business operators throughout the region over the past 12 months and this visit from the Minister will be another important step to building a strong business and tourism sector in our region.”

Mr Holswich has listed developing the local tourism industry as one of his top five priorities for 2013.

Mr Holswich will also be hosting a lunch function with the Minister, to be held at The Dayboro Deli. Tickets for the lunch are $45 and numbers are strictly limited.

Local business owners, tourism and recreational operators are encouraged to attend. For an information flyer and booking form for the lunch, click on the “Events” tab at or phone 3205 6779.
