Nominations Sought for Pine Rivers Queensland Plan Working Group
Member for Pine Rivers, Mr Seath Holswich, has today called for nominations for a Pine Rivers Working Group to provide input to The Queensland Plan.
"The Queensland Plan will outline our shared vision for the next 30 years and identify local and statewide priorities."
The Queensland Plan will be developed through a collaborative process involving community members, business and industry representatives, state and local government officers and Members of Parliament.
Mr Holswich says that the Pine Rivers Queensland Plan Working Group will provide input to The Queensland Plan, as well as seek wider community input during the community engagement period between May and August.
"I am looking for a wide range of representatives for the Working Group who will provide a good cross-section of the Pine Rivers community," Mr Holswich said.
Anyone interested in participating in the Pine Rivers Working Group should send a one page Expression of Interest to the Pine Rivers Electorate Office before Friday 5th April.
"The Expression of Interest should briefly outline your background, skills and experience and a brief statement outlining why you want to be involved in the Working Group."
The Working Group will be formed in mid-April and will assist with the community engagement process between May and August this year.
There are also opportunities for three Pine Rivers residents to accompany Mr Holswich to The Queensland Plan Mackay Summit on 10th May.
"Every electorate in Queensland has the opportunity to bring three community representatives to the Mackay Summit. I hope to be able to take three members of the Pine Rivers Queensland Plan Working Group to that Summit to participate in the discussions and planning process."
To lodge an Expression of Interest for the Pine Rivers Queensland Plan Working Group, and/or the Mackay Summit, email firstname.lastname@example.org or contact the Pine Rivers Electorate Office on 3205 6779.
