Holswich Action Plan for Local Economy
Member for Pine Rivers, Mr Seath Holswich, has today announced his intention to hold an Employment and Training Expo in Strathpine in July as part of his action plan for the Pine Rivers Economy.
The Expo, a joint initiative with The Hon Peter Dutton MP and Trevor Ruthenberg MP, will aim to provide practical, hands on assistance to jobseekers and to link them with local employment and training opportunities.
Mr Holswich has also outlined further actions in his Action Plan for the Pine Rivers economy, in response to articles in the Northern Times (Friday 22nd February).
Earlier this year Mr Holswich released his top 5 priorities for 2013, which included Jobs Growth in our Local Economy and Developing the Local Tourism Industry.
Some of Mr Holswich's plans for the coming year include:
100% Local Christmas Challenge
Visit of Queensland Treasurer to Pine Rivers
High Speed Broadband Petition - Brendale & Strathpine Industrial Precinct
Tourism Working Group
"I am also working on a number of other initiatives and projects that I will announce at later dates."
"I have worked hard to strengthen local businesses and to bring more jobs into our region since I first began campaigning over two years ago, and I will continue to make this a priority of mine during the remainder of this term of parliament."
