Holswich Hard At Work in First Week

Newly elected State Member for Pine Rivers, Mr Seath Holswich, has spent the first week after the election putting his commitments to Pine Rivers into action and acting on key local issues.

"Prior to the election I announced a number of commitments that I would make top priority if elected. This first week has been focussed on delivering on those commitments."

Mr Holswich met last week with Federal Member for Dickson Peter Dutton, State Member for Kallangur Trevor Ruthenberg, Councillor David Dwyer and Mayoral Candidate Greg Chapman to discuss plans for an upgrade of Youngs Crossing.

"There is no cheap or easy fix to Youngs Crossing. It will take a significant commitment from all levels of government. We've begun the discussions about a preferred solution as well as discussing short term strategies to lessen the impact of water releases from North Pine Dam on commuters."
