Plastic Bricks to Provide Tourism Boost for Pine Rivers
Small plastic bricks will provide a boost to tourism numbers in Pine Rivers when Strathpine plays host to a weekend Lego Exhibition in June this year, State Member for Pine Rivers, Seath Holswich MP, announced today.
Mr Holswich, who is an unashamed fan of the small plastic brick, said that he is excited at the prospect of a BrisBricks Exhibition coming to Pine Rivers.
"I attended the first Brisbane BrisBricks Lego Exhibition at Mt Gravatt late last year and immediately decided that I had to try to attract an exhibition such as this to the Pine Rivers region," Mr Holswich said.
"I am thrilled that BrisBricks liked the proposal I put forward and look forward to welcoming them to Pine Rivers for this Exhibition."
"That exhibition attracted nearly 8,000 visitors over 3 days and I am hoping that holding a similar event north of the Brisbane River will attract similar numbers of visitors."
"This will be a significant event for Pine Rivers and I hope that if it is successful that it can become an annual event."
"Attracting an event such as this to Pine Rivers helps to deliver on my commitment to develop the Pine Rivers tourism industry."
The Exhibition will be held at the Strathpine Community Centre on the weekend of 15th - 16th June 2013.
"There are also opportunities for local businesses to sponsor the event," Mr Holswich added.
Any local businesses interested in finding our more about sponsorship opportunities should contact Mr Holswich on 3205 6779 or at firstname.lastname@example.org
